Job summary

Excellus BCBS in Rochester, NY is seeking a Financial Data Consultant to support the Finance Data Management Team. This role focuses on Workday Foundation Data Model, Workday Accounting Center, and financial reporting and analysis across the organization.

You will collaborate across departments, maintain data translation tables, test configurations, and help implement automation to improve accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of direct experience with finance systems and accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Working knowledge of an ERP application and/or Budgeting platform; Workday/Adaptive Planning preferred.
• Strong data analytical skill with Excel; healthcare knowledge a plus.
• Experience with SQL, VBA or similar programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers and configures finance technologies including Workday modules and related tools.
• Supports testing and deployment of projects, enhancements, and reporting configurations.
• Translates business requirements into technology solutions to improve finance processes.
• Identifies data issues and mitigates risks to improve timeliness and accuracy.
• Mentors team members and collaborates cross-functionally on initiatives.
