Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking a Financial Data Consultant to maintain and administer finance applications and data workflows across the Finance division. You will collaborate across teams to ensure timely financial transactions, accurate reporting and robust analytics using Workday and related tools.

The role requires multi-level accounting experience, a strong data mindset, and a commitment to accuracy, privacy, and process improvement.

Qualifications

Four years of direct experience with finance systems and accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Working knowledge of an ERP application and/or Budgeting platform; Workday and Adaptive Planning strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of finance and accounting acumen and maintenance of finance applications.
Strong data analytical skills and experience with MS Excel, data analysis and formatting.

Responsibilities

Administer and configure finance technologies including Workday Accounting Center and Prism solutions, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday Financials.
Support configuration and deployment of new projects and enhancements for finance functions and reporting.
Translate business requirements into technology solutions and improve finance processes.
Act as a consultant to leverage technology investments to improve financial accounting, reporting and analysis.
Develop financial reports and dashboards to support decision making.
