Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Finance Business Analyst I to support planning and analysis at the Safford operation. You will gather business requirements, analyze costs, and prepare reports to drive strategic decisions while collaborating with operating departments to improve financial efficiency.

You will assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial standards and internal controls, with opportunities to advance in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Requires strong financial/business analytics background and ability to support FP&A activities.
• Experience with cost models, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Understanding of financial regulations and SOX controls.
• Exposure to manufacturing or mining industry financial operations.
• OKR and KPI tracking familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning and analysis by gathering business requirements and analyzing data.
• Prepare reports to inform strategic decisions and improve financial efficiency.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and expense analysis across departments.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement and tech teams to develop financial insights.
• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis and financial statement reviews.
