Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a finance professional to support planning and analysis, translating business needs into cost models and identifying savings opportunities across the Safford site.

You will collaborate with operations, procurement and IT to build scalable models, deliver insights, and drive efficiency. Strong data skills, SOX knowledge, and experience with ERP tools are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school or higher with relevant financial analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field with 2–4+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Excel, and Business Objects.
• Excellent analytical, technical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across management levels.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of manufacturing or mining industry financial operations.
• Understanding of OKRs and KPI tracking.
• Understanding of financial regulations and SOX controls.
• Subject matter expert in one or more areas.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into cost models and perform advanced analyses to identify savings and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor departmental costs, assist with budgeting/forecasting, ensure compliance, and support month‑end/quarter‑end close.
• Liaise between business and technical teams to deliver scalable cost models and actionable insights.
• Develop and present financial reports and dashboards to reduce costs and drive revenue growth.
• Analyze large datasets to support decision-making and perform accounting tasks as needed.
