Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Safford, AZ is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to support financial planning and analysis by gathering requirements, analyzing cost data, and preparing reports to inform strategic decisions. You will partner with operations, procurement, and other departments to develop cost models, monitor budgets and forecasts, perform journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure SOX compliance.

Prerequisites include a finance degree or relevant experience and proficiency in SAP,

Qualifications

• High School diploma with six years of financial analytics experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and two years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Excel, and Business Objects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of financial regulations and SOX controls.
• Exposure to manufacturing or mining industry financial operations.
• Familiarity with OKRs and KPI tracking.
