Job summary

Madiba, Inc. is seeking a Finance Data Analyst in Southern California to transform how financial data is managed. You will design automated journal entry processes, build data pipelines, and leverage AI to streamline workflows within our SAP ecosystem.

You will partner with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to implement automation, create dashboards, and ensure data integrity for month-end close and reporting. A strong foundation in finance data, SQL, and visualization tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, IS, or related field.
• Experience with financial data (journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, close processes).
• Hands-on SAP experience (FI/CO, S/4HANA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and applying them to finance use cases.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills; Excel proficiency.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of accounting principles and journal entry/GL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret financial data from multiple sources to identify patterns and automation opportunities.
• Design, build, and maintain automated journal entry processes to reduce manual work.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline recurring finance workflows and data flows.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines between systems.
• Work within SAP to extract, transform, and validate financial data for automated solutions.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to translate pain points into automation and reporting.
• Build dashboards and reconciliation tools to support month-end close and reporting.
• Test, validate, and monitor automated processes for data integrity and controls.
