Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Finance AI & Automation Solutions Analyst who blends financial operations with AI-enabled tooling to drive efficiency and scalability. You will educate Finance teams on responsible AI usage while designing and implementing AI-powered workflows partnering with Finance, Data, and Technology.

The role is hybrid, with on-site collaboration three days per week, and requires hands-on engineering, governance, and automation experience to deliver measurable business impact.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in software engineering, solution architecture, or automation development with Finance process knowledge.
  • Experience with Finance tech such as Workday and Databricks platforms is preferred.
  • Hands-on AI tooling, copilots, automation, or agentic workflows experience.
  • Experience in governance, controls, compliance, and audit environments.
  • Balance of business analysis and hands-on development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across Close, FP&A, Revenue, Audit, and Procurement.
  • Lead training and adoption of AI tools and automation within Finance.
  • Design and implement AI-enabled workflows integrated with Finance/ERP.
  • Translate business needs into scalable AI solutions and roadmap initiatives.
  • Manage Finance data readiness, quality, governance, lineage, and controls.
  • Evaluate embedded and external AI technologies as appropriate.
  • Ensure AI solutions meet audit, security, and risk requirements.
  • Measure outcomes like efficiency gains and reduced manual effort.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Data, and governance teams to align with standards.

Job description

This position sits at the intersection of Finance and Technology, blending a strong understanding of financial operations with the systems and tools that support them. As a dedicated AI resource within Finance, this individual will play a key role in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability through the adoption of AI-enabled solutions and automation.

The Finance AI & Automation Solutions Analyst will serve as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on builder. This individual will help educate and enable Finance teams on responsible AI usage while also designing, developing, and implementing AI-powered workflows that streamline processes and drive measurable business impact. The role will partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Data, and Technology to help shape and execute AI initiatives that support evolving business needs.

This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with team members working onsite three days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Finance leaders to identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities across areas including Close, FP&A, Revenue, Audit, and Procurement
  • Serve as a Finance AI champion, leading training efforts and helping team members adopt AI tools, copilots, and automation capabilities
  • Design, develop, and implement AI-enabled workflows that integrate with Finance and ERP systems
  • Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions while helping shape Finance-focused AI strategy and roadmap initiatives
  • Manage Finance data readiness efforts, including data quality, governance, lineage, and control considerations
  • Evaluate and leverage both embedded platform AI capabilities and external AI or agentic technologies where appropriate
  • Ensure all AI-enabled solutions align with audit, compliance, security, and risk management requirements
  • Measure and communicate business outcomes, including efficiency gains, automation rates, forecast improvements, and reductions in manual effort
  • Collaborate closely with Technology, Data, and governance stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise standards and best practices
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or automation development, combined with strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Tax processes and systems
  • Experience working with Finance technologies such as Workday, Workday Illuminate AI, Databricks, Databricks Genie AI, Zuora, payment platforms, AuditBoard/Optra, or similar solutions
  • Practical experience utilizing AI tools, copilots, automation platforms, or agentic workflows
  • Experience working within governance, controls, compliance, and audit-focused environments
  • Ability to balance business analysis responsibilities with hands-on solution development and implementation
Skills
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, developing AI strategies while actively delivering solutions
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate Finance challenges into scalable AI-enabled outcomes
  • Strong data literacy, including an understanding of data quality, lineage, governance, and data models
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-starter who demonstrates ownership, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and helping teams adapt to emerging technologies and new ways of working

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
