Mid Florida Cancer Centers seeks a Finance Counselor to join our in-person team in Orange City, FL. The role focuses on patient financial counseling, benefits verification, and payment arrangements within a comprehensive Hematology & Oncology practice.

The position supports patient services across four locations and requires strong customer service, basic medical billing knowledge, and HIPAA compliance. Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, on-site work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical setting is a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation and professionalism.
• Familiarity with medical billing terms and EOBs.

Responsibilities

• Explain EOBs to patients and families.
• Verify benefits and eligibility for services.
• Set up and manage patient payment plans.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with scheduling.
