Mid Florida Cancer Centers seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support Hematology & Oncology teams in DeLand and Orange City, FL. Primary coverage is at Orange City with occasional travel to Oviedo for coverage needs.

You will perform phlebotomy, assist with patient intake, vitals, rooming, and coordinate lab specimens while supporting physicians and staff. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred.

Formación

• Active CMA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting (Oncology/Hematology preferred).
• Venipuncture and specimen collection experience required.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for oncology patients.
• Assist with patient intake, vitals, and rooming; support providers.
• Coordinate lab specimens and documentation.
• Navigate patient charts and manage daily schedules.
• Act as a bridge between patients and providers; translation support for Spanish-speaking patients.

You will work primarily in our Orange City office but must be available to travel to our Oviedo clinic if coverage needs arise.Key ResponsibilitiesPhlebotomy: Perform frequent venipuncture and specimen collection for oncology patients with high accuracy.Clinical Support: Assist with patient intake, vitals, and rooming; support providers and staff with other clinical needs.Lab Coordination: Process and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring all labeling and documentation meet strict safety standards.Patient Navigation: Manage patient charts, scan medical records, and monitor daily schedules to ensure a seamless clinic experience.Communication: Act as a bridge between patients and providers; bilingual candidates will provide essential translation support for our Spanish-speaking patient population.Radiation/Radiology : Knowledge of Radiation and Radiology workflows, assist with patient questions about Radiation treatments.
