Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking motivated finance interns for a 10-week summer program in Seattle. You will work as a student and integral team member, contributing to real projects from day one and presenting a strategic deliverable to leadership.

You'll build variance analysis, develop insights from data, and explore how AI and automation can transform our finance processes. Successful interns may receive offers for full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• College student enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a focus in Finance (preferred), Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

Nordstrom is seeking summer interns who are exceptionally motivated and possess high levels of curiosity to join our finance organization.

As a Nordstrom Finance Intern, you’ll play a dual role — dedicated student and valued team member.

Successful Finance Interns will also have the opportunity to join Nordstrom full-time upon completion of their degree.

As an intern, you’ll…

• Get an up-close, behind-the-scenes view of the retail fashion industry that you won’t find in a classroom
• Develop and deliver a strategic project with milestones, deliverables and deadlines that you’ll present directly to company leadership at the end of the summer
• Jump in on real projects from day one, contributing to the daily work that keeps the team moving and learning how the business runs from the inside
• Build variance analysis and insight reporting that support the financial cycle
• Use data and analytics to uncover insights that inform business decisions
• Analyze and improve finance processes to come up with solutions for real business challenges
• Explore how AI, data and automation can help transform the way we work
• Collaborate with and learn from experienced members of the finance team

You own this if you…

• Are a college student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a focus in Finance (preferred), Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
• Have an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Have strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and AI.
• Are comfortable using Microsoft Excel to create reports, run queries, and create pivot tables.
• Build great relationships through stellar communication and follow-through.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment thanks to your ace organizational skills and ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures.
• Able to relocate to Seattle for the duration of the 10-week summer internship.
• Excited about a career at Nordstrom if offered a position at the end of your internship (based on performance).

Hourly rate is $33.00.

Pay Range Details The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. $29.00 - $46.25 Hourly
