Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience; or at least three years of relevant experience in nonprofit, accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and GAAP procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Enter debit card transactions and vendor invoices into QuickBooks.
• Review invoices for accuracy and required approvals.
• Match invoices to packing or delivery documentation and supporting materials.
• Prepare debit card reconciliations and compile receipts.
• Communicate with vendors and coworkers to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare bank deposits and maintain financial records.
• Assist with 1099 preparation for vendors and consultants.
• Coordinate check and payment requests for housing deposits and program needs.
• Maintain organized financial records and support monthly/quarterly reporting and audits.
