Job summary

Kheir Clinic is seeking a Controller in Los Angeles, CA to oversee general accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and grants administration. You will partner with the CEO and CFO to ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit regulations, drive internal controls, and prepare timely, accurate financial statements.

The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on accounting experience (AP/AR/GL), nonprofit/ FQHC exposure preferred, and strong leadership to supervise staff and coordinate audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance; Masters or CPA/CMA preferred.
• 8–10 years of hands-on accounting experience (AP/AR/GL).
• Experience in Federal Qualified Health Center or not-for-profit settings preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and government/non-profit accounting; familiar with OMB circulars.
• Direct supervisory experience of staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting, financial reporting and payroll.
• Supervise month-end close and prepare monthly reports.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and grant requirements.
• Develop budgets and manage cash flow and grant budgets.
