LeMoyne-Owen College seeks a Controller to enhance the accuracy of financial results and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance. The role oversees budgeting, general ledger, and grants accounting while partnering with the VP of Finance to support institutional goals.

The position requires a Master’s degree and 8–10 years of finance leadership in higher education, with proficiency in MAS 90/Great Plains and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• 8–10 years of progressive finance experience in college/university setting preferred.
• Proficiency with fund accounting software (MAS 90 or similar).
• Proficient in MS Office and regulatory knowledge (OMB).

Responsibilities

• Perform budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
• Supervise General Ledger, A/P, Budgeting, and Grants Accounting.
• Assist treasury and interface with other fiscal areas as needed.
• Collaborate with VP of Finance to support institutional goals and revenue development.
• Review and revise financial policies and procedures.
• Identify process improvements and establish best practices.
• Foster strong cross-department relationships for budgeting and decision making.
