Socket.dev is seeking a strategic, hands-on Controller to lead the finance function and report to the COO. You will oversee accounting, internal controls, and financial planning, ensuring accurate, scalable operations to support growth.

You will partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and strategic investments while building processes and systems that enhance visibility and decision-making across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience leading accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated leadership with direct reports and team development.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the COO and leadership team.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
• Establish internal controls and coordinate audits and tax engagements.
• Develop scalable processes and lead the Finance team to high performance.
• Drive process improvements and optimize financial systems and tools.
