Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a skilled Controller to lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit activities. Based in Attleboro, MA, you will ensure the integrity of financial statements and scalable processes across cultivation, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail operations.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, Treasury, and external advisors to drive compliant, visibility-driven accounting and growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
CPA certification is required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Public accounting experience is preferred.
Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, retail, or cannabis industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience managing month-end close and audits.
Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience leading and developing accounting teams.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
Prepare monthly reporting package with balance sheet, income statement, and P&L by business vertical.
Maintain monthly close calendar and reporting deadlines.
Oversee reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
Review journal entries and accounting estimates.
Coordinate monthly management reporting.
