Job summary

BiosLife, a venture-backed oncology platform, seeks a Director/Controller to build and own financial infrastructure from the ground up in the Greater Boston area. You will lead close processes, reporting, and controls, partnering with the CEO, Board, and cross-functional leaders to drive discipline and scale.

The ideal candidate brings strong GAAP accounting depth, CPA, 7+ years, and startup or biotech experience, with the ability to operate in a lean, high-growth environment near Boston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 7+ years in accounting/financial management; director-level experience preferred.
• Experience in biotech or life sciences startup or public company environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Prepare management packs, operating metrics, and analyses for execs.
• Lead balance sheet integrity, cash forecasting, and cap table support.
• Oversee policies, memos, and accounting documentation.
• Partner with leadership to improve forecasting and decision-making.
• Build scalable processes, controls, and finance systems.
