Job summary

Asurion in Nashville seeks a Finance Business Program Manager to partner with Finance, Technology, and other stakeholders to deliver finance systems and process initiatives. Lead complex cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation, aligning scope, schedule, deliverables, and business outcomes.

You will apply strong project delivery practices, manage risks, coordinate with global teams, support UAT, deployment, and post-production stabilization, driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in technology, business management, accounting, financial analysis, or related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • 4+ years equivalent Project &/or Portfolio Management experience
  • Experience in the Finance/Accounting industry (credit, banking, insurance, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new business and technical concepts is required
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering complex projects
  • Team leadership and global project experience is preferred (working with business units in multiple time zones throughout the lifecycle of project)
  • Experienced with Software Development Life Cycle in all phases; Agile environment preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Notion, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent
  • Able to effectively present information & respond to questions from groups
  • Strong analytical, integrative and problem solving skills; critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and drive work forward with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Finance processes, systems, data flows to support project delivery
  • Lead complex cross-functional Finance initiatives from planning through implementation
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, Product, stakeholders, and vendors to define requirements and scope
  • Maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and activities
  • Identify risks, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery impacts; mitigate and resolve issues
  • Facilitate meetings to drive alignment and accountability
  • Deliver project communications, status reports, and executive updates
  • Plan and execute UAT, deployment activities, and post-production stabilization
  • Collaborate to support standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain governance artifacts like RAID logs, decision logs, and implementation plans
  • Support SDLC, Agile, and Change Management practices throughout the lifecycle

What You'll be Doing:

The Finance Business Program Manager serves as a key partner between Finance, Technology, and other business partners to successfully deliver Finance systems and process initiatives. This role is responsible for leading complex cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation by connecting business needs, system capabilities, project dependencies, and organizational readiness to achieve business outcomes.

The Manager applies strong project delivery practices, business acumen, and relationship management skills to drive execution, facilitate collaboration, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and remove delivery obstacles throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, build trusted partnerships, and maintain focus on delivering value for the Finance organization.

Primary Responsibilities & Expectations

Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Finance business processes, systems, technologies, and data flows to support successful project delivery and business objectives. Lead complex cross-functional Finance initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, deliverables, and business outcomes. Partner with Finance, Technology, Product, business stakeholders, and external vendors to define requirements, clarify scope, and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and implementation activities to support successful delivery. Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery impacts; develop and execute mitigation strategies, coordinate cross-functional issue resolution, and remove obstacles to maintain successful project delivery. Facilitate project meetings that drive alignment, establish accountability, resolve issues, and ensure timely execution of action items and key decisions. Develop and deliver project communications, status reporting, and executive updates that clearly communicate project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decisions. Partner with business and technology teams to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation readiness, deployment activities, and post-production stabilization. Collaborate with Global Process Owners, Finance SMEs, and Technology teams to support standardized business processes, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain project governance documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, decision logs, communication plans, implementation plans, and other delivery artifacts. Support Project Management, Agile, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Change Management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring adherence to delivery standards and governance.

Education and Required Skills:
