Job summary

Sanilac County Community Mental Health Authority is seeking an Admin Supervisor – Finance/Billing. This role oversees finance and billing functions, provides leadership to staff, and supports the CFO with projects, reporting, and policy adherence.

The ideal candidate will supervise teams, manage concurrent tasks, and ensure accurate financial operations across DMH/Medicaid contexts. Based at the CMH Administration Building, the position requires extensive billing expertise, strong leadership,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in billing to third party billers.
Three (3) years’ experience working in the Public Mental Health field in an administrative role.
Minimum of ten (10) year’s supervisory experience.
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and produce reports for agency programs as requested by the CFO.
Coordinate billing/finance related projects with the CFO, including third-party payers and encounters.
Stay up to date on codes, services, and payer information; act as a resource to staff and CFO.
Assist with audits/reviews, validation, and finance-related tasks as needed.
Assist with training department staff in billing and finance.
