Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of clerical staff performing medical billing.
• Supervises staff in Consolidated Billing Operation and decentralized sections via subordinate supervisors.
• Ensures policies to maximize revenue funds from program sources are implemented.
• Maintains training and informs staff of changes in billing requirements and data processing systems.
• Coordinates with other divisions and outside agencies on billing matters.
• Prepares reports and analyzes data to ensure compliance with program requirements and revenue practices.
• Identifies system problems and develops procedures with other divisions to resolve them.
• Carries out personnel policies and conducts internal audits to ensure compliance.
