Job summary

Orionplacement seeks an attorney with 3+ years of finance transactional experience in New York to manage and participate in complex financing and acquisition transactions, including structuring, documenting, and closing.

This on-site role in New York requires a J.D., active NY license, and ability to work with lenders and borrowers; you will mentor junior associates and collaborate across offices while pursuing business development.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong credentials.
• 3+ years of finance transactional experience.
• Active New York law license.
• Significant experience structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions.
• Experience with complex financing and acquisition transactions.
• Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers; experience on both sides strongly preferred.
• Exposure to private equity acquisitions, senior debt, and/or mezzanine debt transactions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and business judgment.
• Motivated self-starter with a team-oriented mentality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Delegate and supervise work performed by junior associates.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices to efficiently execute complex transactions.
• Take ownership of matters while exercising strong judgment and attention to detail.
