Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences seeks a Finance Associate to provide foundational financial, transactional, and compliance support for academic departments. You will handle procurement reviews, travel and expense processing, accounts receivable, cash handling, and year-end close activities while ensuring adherence to university policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years’ related experience (4+ years if no Associate’s degree)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field desirable
• Proficiency with Excel and standard office tools
• Basic familiarity with financial systems (Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Concur) preferred

Responsabilités

• Review and approve requisitions with costing accuracy and funding availability
• Reconcile P-Card and department card transactions in Concur; ensure proper receipts and approvals
• Record incoming payments and match to invoices; resolve discrepancies as needed
• Initiate wire transfers and manage petty cash in line with policy
• Assist in year-end close activities and related processing
