Job summary

Morrison & Foerster is seeking a Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of law firm experience in secured lending to join its Finance practice group. This is an opportunity to work alongside a diverse, high-performing team known for substantive client exposure early in careers.

You will represent banks, lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions, draft loan documents, manage client relationships, and contribute on leveraged and syndicated financing deals with growing

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of law firm experience primarily in secured lending transactions (class years 2020-2023).
• Demonstrated experience with leveraged finance, syndicated lending, or sponsor finance.
• Strong drafting skills for loan documentation and closing materials.
• Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in.
• Prior experience at a top-tier law firm with strong academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions.
• Drafting, editing, and reviewing loan documents including loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, and commitment papers.
• Working on leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance deals.
• Managing internal and external client and counsel relationships on complex financing matters.
• Taking on increasing levels of responsibility for transactions with direct client interaction.

Salary
$260K - $390K (Compensation follows the market-leading Cravath lockstep scale based on class year (2020-2023). Base salary ranges from $310K-$420K depending on class year, plus substantial annual bonus potential including standard lockstep bonus, high hours bonus, and merit incentive.
