Position Overview

A growing clean energy company is seeking a skilled and driven Financial Associate to support financial modeling and analysis for solar and energy storage projects. This role is critical in evaluating project economics, supporting transactions, and contributing to strategic decision-making within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of renewable energy markets, and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams across development, finance, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models to support project development, acquisition, financing, and divestment
• Prepare project pro formas and conduct sensitivity analyses to assess key metrics such as IRR, NPV, LCOE, and DSCR
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate commercial structures, pricing agreements, cost assumptions, and risk allocations
• Review and interpret project documentation including contracts, site agreements, and interconnection materials
• Assist in deal structuring, prepare financial summaries, and support the creation of investment materials
• Present analysis and insights through concise dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Incorporate federal, state, and local incentives into financial modeling where applicable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project finance, M&A, investment banking, or infrastructure investment, ideally within the energy sector
• Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling, including DCF and scenario analysis
• Familiarity with the renewable energy industry and relevant financial mechanisms
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• This is a remote position with occasional travel required for meetings and site visits
• Compensation is competitive and includes performance-based incentives
