Permanent Placements LLC is assisting in recruiting a mid-level Finance Associate for its growing banking and finance practice. The role involves advising sophisticated clients on debt finance transactions and working closely with lenders, borrowers, and sponsors on complex financings.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an accredited law school and has 3–5 years of dedicated debt finance experience, including leveraged finance and asset-based lending, with strong drafting and negotiation

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of experience in debt finance, banking and finance, or commercial lending.
• Experience at a nationally recognized law firm or comparable handling sophisticated financing transactions.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders and borrowers in the negotiation, structuring, documentation, and closing of complex debt financing transactions.
• Advise clients on leveraged finance, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, and cash-flow lending transactions.
• Support transactions involving structured finance and bespoke financing arrangements across a variety of asset classes.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and legal teams on domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on financing structures, risk management, and transaction execution.

Our client is seeking a mid-level Finance Associate to join its expanding growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who is motivated to build and expand their practice while working closely with a sophisticated client base on complex financing transactions.

The practice advises private equity sponsors, founders, family offices, investment firms, lenders, borrowers, and public companies on a broad range of high-value financial transactions. Attorneys in this group work on innovative and market-leading matters involving debt finance, leveraged finance, structured finance, acquisition finance, and specialty lending arrangements.

This role offers significant client exposure, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to a growing practice in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent lenders and borrowers in the negotiation, structuring, documentation, and closing of complex debt financing transactions.
• Advise clients on leveraged finance, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, and cash-flow lending transactions.
• Support transactions involving structured finance and bespoke financing arrangements across a variety of asset classes.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and legal teams on domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on financing structures, risk management, and transaction execution.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3-5 years of experience in debt finance, banking and finance, commercial lending, or related transactional practice areas.
• Experience at a nationally recognized law firm or comparable experience handling sophisticated financing transactions.
• Demonstrated experience representing borrowers and/or lenders in the negotiation, documentation, and closing of complex debt financing transactions, including leveraged finance, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, cash-flow lending, and other structured financing arrangements.
• Familiarity with distressed debt matters, workouts, restructurings, cross-border transactions, UCC Article 9, digital asset and cryptocurrency financings, and/or general corporate law is a plus.
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters simultaneously.
