The Hobby Center’s Finance and Accounting Specialist serves as a crucial member of the Finance and Administration team, delivering high-quality accounting work on key tasks that ensure vital information flows throughout the organization.

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and updating audit-ready records for various financial accounts, such as event sales & tickets, parking, sales tax, concessions, catering, merchandise, customer event deposits, corporate cards, chargebacks, and more.
2. Processing and reconciling financial transactions like payables, receivables, deposits, journal entries, and bank feeds.
3. Performing routine reviews of the general ledger and aging reports for monthly closures.
4. Supporting budget preparation and annual audits.
5. Building reports and analyses in accounting software; creating presentations; supporting monthly financial reporting.
6. Coordinating the corporate card program and employee reimbursements.
7. Identifying and resolving discrepancies across all areas mentioned above.

Skills and Qualifications
