They are currently seeking a Bookkeeping, Finance, and Administration Specialist (Remote, US).

Salary Range: 70-80k USD

Benefits/Monthly Allowance: Yes

Position Summary

  • The Bookkeeping, Finance, and Administration position is for a dynamic, self-starting individual who is responsible for overseeing daily financial and administration activities, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and providing exceptional finance, bookkeeping, and data management support by bringing a combination of finance, data, and business acumen.
  • They have a broad knowledge of non-profit financial/bookkeeping management, experience with nonprofit CRM and data management, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. They have the flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, the ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly, and p erform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s missions and goals.
  • The position is remote and requires the candidate to have a quiet place from which to work in a productive way and to be available online Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial operations, including budget tracking, bookkeeping, QuickBooks administration, bank deposits and monthly bank reconciliation, process payables and receivables, prepare monthly financial statements, lead annual audit and IRS requirements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage grants and funding sources, ensuring timely reporting, compliance, and adherence to grant requirements.

CRM & Data Management

  • Maintain and update the database with donations, pledges, and stakeholder records.
  • Create automated and manual reports in support of the fundraising team’s activities.
  • Create forms and events in the CRM.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.

Administration

  • Answer and direct inquiries via mail, e-mail, and phone, coordinate meetings and calendars, and run the day-to-day administration of the organization as needed.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum five years experience in bookkeeping administration and handling nonprofit financial management.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and financial software applications .
  • Advanced knowledge of nonprofit CRM management, DonorPerfect preferred.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem solving, conflict management and time management skills.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
  • Ability to observe strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being followed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including flexibility and a positive attitude.
