Base is building a next-generation power company, and we are seeking an Analytics Intern to help make data accessible and useful across the company. You’ll work with financial and operational data to answer questions, build analyses, and help create reporting that gives teams a clearer view of the business.

This hands-on role involves solving ambiguous problems with data, collaborating with multiple teams, and turning raw information into actionable insights that drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, CS, data science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and large data sets.
• Curiosity and interest in understanding how businesses work.
• Strong attention to detail and numbers accuracy.
• Clear communication and ability to translate analysis into takeaways.
• Willingness to learn new tools and systems.
• Experience with SQL, BI tools, or AI tooling is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and analyses.
• Analyze actual results vs budgets and forecasts to identify drivers of variances.
• Work with financial and operational data to support decisions.
• Improve financial models, reporting, and planning processes.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to validate information.
• Assist with recurring reporting and ad hoc analyses as the business evolves.
• Improve organization and accessibility of financial information.
