Base is building a next-generation energy company based in the United States. We are seeking an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience across the core activities of our accounting team.

You’ll support month-end close, ensure books stay accurate, and learn how accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting actually work at a fast-growing company. You’ll work closely with the team on journal entries, reconciliations, and using AI tools to speed up tasks and automate

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Curiosity about using AI to streamline accounting tasks.
• Eagerness to learn month-end close processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• ERP experience (NetSuite) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card activity, and intercompany transactions.
• Explore AI tools to speed up manual accounting tasks.
• Support the development of monthly reporting processes.
• Assist with asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare schedules for audits and tax filings.
• Maintain organized documentation for controls.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
