Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a finance-focused analyst to perform financial and business related research, develop forecasts, analyze trends, and prepare reports for management. The role involves building and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, using MS Excel/Access and Power BI to support reporting and decision-making.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong relationship-building and strategic-thinking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience as determined by company
• 5 - 10 years of relevant, progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance
• Experience with MS Excel and MS Access
• Experience with Power BI
• Strong relationship building skills
• Ability to think strategically and act proactively to create trust and confidence with business units

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and business related analysis.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting.
• Prepare forecasts and/or analysis of trends.
• Lead and document financial analysis projects including ad hoc reports; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution.
• Coordinate activities to ensure the project is advancing properly and to ensure the project is completed within the timeframes established.
• Present analysis to all levels of management to provide a summary of financial results and trends.
• Input, retrieve or display accounting information using PC and/or mainframe based systems.
