Job summary

Energo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Financial Analyst, reporting to the Controller. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial health of Energo's multiple business divisions.

This role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, with a particular focus on supporting our fuel oil supply and HVAC service lines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working across multiple entities and cost centers, and has

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial analyst, accounting, or related finance role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across several business divisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, fast-paced finance team.

Responsibilities

• Compile monthly KPI’s and variance analyses across Energo's divisions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including division-level cost and revenue tracking.
• Analyze supply pricing, margins, and costs to support pricing and purchasing decisions.
• Track profitability, labor costs, and job costing across projects and divisions.
• Support accounts payable/accounts receivable functions and vendor/customer account reconciliations as needed.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for leadership to support business decisions.
• Assist with the preparation of materials for tax filings, audits, and lender/insurance reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency across divisions.
