Role: Finance Analyst (Investment Banking)
Employment: Full-Time
Hours: 8am - 5pm Mountain Standard Time
Salary: $8 - $12 USD per hour (Open to negotiation based on experience)
Lago is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst specialized in Investment Banking. In this pivotal role, you will support the investment banking team by conducting financial analysis, market research, and valuation assessments to assist in executing transactions.
This role requires strong financial modeling skills, a deep understanding of capital markets, and the ability to conduct structured research using modern tools, including AI. The analyst will play a critical role in client deliverables and transaction execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on companies, industries, and comparable transactions using public data and AI tools
- Build and maintain advanced financial models, including full 3-statement projections and valuation models
- Help structure and create client-facing materials for fundraising (e.g., investor decks, memos, financial summaries)
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support investment banking transactions.
- Prepare pitch books and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in market research and industry analysis to identify trends and potential investment opportunities.
- Participate in due diligence processes by gathering and analyzing relevant financial data.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and associates on transaction execution and deal structuring.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics and provide insights to the team.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Stay updated on market conditions, regulatory changes, and industry developments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous work in a capital advisory, investment banking, or financial consulting environment
- Solid understanding of capital markets, investment processes, and deal dynamics
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Familiarity with financial databases and research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
