Primary Purpose of the Role
The Finance Analyst II is responsible for maintaining and developing systems in support of customer margin analysis, pricing, and customer programs maintenance for assigned channels. In addition, must provide analytical and routine support to internal customers in sales, marketing, and finance.
• Evaluate sales pricing requests for profitability to Hoffmaster and pricing consistency to the market. Partner with sales team to ensure that quotes are meeting company standards.
• Collaborate with business managers and leadership on margin analysis and profitability projects. Provide detailed deliverables based on project requirements. Requires ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Identify and advance department processes and methods that need improvement.
• Perform FP&A functions including pricing and contract requests, changes and maintenance, price quotes for new and existing business, customer profitability and analysis.
• Speak with authority to the organization's profit and loss models and the components within, and serve as a champion for positive growth.
• Utilize cost models and review projected costs to make informed decisions.
• Develop and maintain working relationship with cross-functional team across HGI.
• Provide support to other pricing functions and for other Finance, Marketing, and Sales personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Professional written and spoken communication.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and mathematic skills.
• Ability to make recommendations and influence others after analyzing and interpreting data.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to contribute to a cross-functional team, including both internal and external partnerships
• Knowledge of an integrated ERP system and sales reporting database.
• Basic knowledge of applications programming (e.g., VBA) desired.
• Basic knowledge of database management desired.
