Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks a Finance Associate to manage planning, estimating, tracking, analysis, and reporting for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and government practices, stationed in Hampton, VA.

The position handles subcontracting invoicing, cost tracking, vendor setup, and month-end closings while collaborating with program managers and finance teams. AMA offers competitive pay and benefits.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel with pivot tables and lookups.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint strongly desired.
Knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, CPAF, CPFF, hybrid.
Ability to interface successfully with customers and stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; adaptable to dynamic requirements.
Knowledge of government project management requirements is desirable.

Mansioni

Interface with program/project managers and other functional teams.
Process and monitor subcontractor invoicing; support monthly sub-contractor accruals.
Assist Program/Project Analyst with accounts payable tasks.
Reconcile entries; maintain historical records; verify against system reports.
Prepare analyses of accounts and monthly reports; respond to vendor inquiries.
Set up vendors/employees in Costpoint; assist subcontractors with timesheets.
Set up purchase orders and revisions in Costpoint.
Track project costs; ensure actuals + projections stay within budget.
Support month-end closings and ad-hoc reporting; assist with forecast.
