Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst for the Central District in the United States. You will support project accounting, forecasting, and cost control for projects ranging from $1M to $4B, with responsibilities across payroll, AP/AR, and compliance.

This role develops expertise in cost and revenue components, month-end close, and financial reporting for project management, with travel up to 50% and relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel up to 50% may be required.
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and other Excel functions is preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to access construction sites and work independently or in a team.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and compliance for projects.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting packages.
• Learn and apply cost accounting processes across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
• Collaborate with operations teams to forecast and manage project budgets.
• Ensure internal controls and timely, accurate billing documentation.
• Communicate clearly with project management and stakeholders.
