Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in Detroit is seeking a non-manager Financial Analyst to turn numbers into insights that inform budgeting, forecasting and strategic decisions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Detroit with a competitive total compensation package.

You will reconcile accounts, prepare reports, support audits and regulatory filings, and collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure accurate financial storytelling.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Two to four years experience in related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under general supervision with deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• General knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares financial information and reviews for accuracy and completeness.
• Performs detailed analysis when necessary.
• Other deliverables may include account reconciliations, impact studies, audit findings, budgets and business cases.
• Assists with preparation of various financial or regulatory reports for management and external parties (auditors, customers, providers, etc).
• Prepares financial reporting for a division, customer or segment that may include linking financial information from various sources to provide meaningful reports.
• May process financial transactions including journal entries, invoices, cost allocations, etc. Assists with drafting policies and procedures for the department.
• Interfaces with various departments and responds to adhoc requests and inquiries.
• Performs other assignments as assigned by management.
