Local Ocean Seafoods in Newport, Oregon, seeks a Director of Finance & Administration to lead financial management, data, and admin systems for a growing seafood business on the working waterfront.

You will supervise a small Finance & Administration team, improve reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls, and coordinate HR administration and risk. Strong technical fluency and restaurant/ hospitality experience are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated experience in financial management, accounting, or related leadership.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools for analysis, reporting, and workflow improvement.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for reporting and general ledger workflows.
• Experience supervising payroll, benefits, and HR administrative functions.
• HR knowledge to supervise HR administration, recognize compliance and employee-relations risk.
• Strong technology fluency across cloud-based systems (accounting, payroll, POS, scheduling, inventory).
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
• Restaurant, hospitality or related operational experience.

• Oversee monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Develop management reports and dashboards to support decisions.
• Improve data quality and interoperability across systems.
• Supervise HR administration, payroll, benefits, and records.
• Ensure compliance and risk management within Finance/HR.
• Collaborate with CEO and leaders to set priorities and actions.
• Coordinate with outside accountants and advisors on tax and year-end matters.
