Job summary

The University of Rochester seeks a Manager of Finance & Administration for Student Activities. This senior financial leader will oversee budgets, financial reporting, and administrative operations across Student Activities, SOFO, and the Office of the Dean of Students.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students, you will supervise a team of two professionals and nine+ student staff, ensure policy compliance, and partner with university offices to maintain audit readiness and fiscal integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience in Business, Finance, or Operations.
• Master's degree required.
• 2 years of managerial experience required.
• Experience with URFinancials, URGEMS, QuickBooks or similar encumbrance systems preferred.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with students, staff, and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, and fiscal stewardship for Student Activities and SOFO.
• Oversee high-volume financial activity exceeding $2M+ annually.
• Manage administrative systems, policies, and internal controls.
• Supervise finance team including 2 professionals and 9+ student staff.
• Serve as HR designee for Student Activities including payroll approvals and hires.
