Job summary

Under minimal supervision, you will manage payments, assist with external reporting, and supervise student workers as needed. Strong GAAP knowledge and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience is required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial management systems is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides accounting or business support to a designated unit; audits, reports, reconciles, tracks, reviews, or approves actions on designated accounts.
• Audits account payables/receivables, expense allocations, requisitions, purchase orders, billing, and collections.
• Assists in preparing annual budget allocations, position budgeting tasks, commitment tracking, and departmental budget requests.
• Independently processes and logs incoming payments (checks, ACH, deposits).
• Maintains standard operating procedures and may supervise student workers.
