Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is seeking a Financial Accountant II to reconcile bank and clearing accounts and support accounting functions within the department. The role also serves as co-security officer for Marketplace and a liaison for FAMIS/USAS.

The position reports to the Accounting Manager and requires collaboration with multiple departments. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and supervisory experience are required; mastery of MS Office and strong reconciliation skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or closely related field; two years of related accounting experience including one year supervisory.
• High School Diploma/GED with six years of related accounting experience including one year supervisory.
• Associate degree with four years of related accounting experience including one year supervisory.
• Master’s degree.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent accounting and reconciliation skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and reconcile high-volume account activity; resolve outstanding items.
• Serve as co-security officer for Marketplace and liaise for FAMIS/USAS.
• Complete IA reconciliations, ATRs, annual reports, and GDGE quarterly.
• Supervise student workers; oversee processes for hiring, batch reviews, and data entry.
• Assist in preparing the Annual Financial Report and maintaining account controls.
