Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking an outsourced financial advisory consultant to support clients with ongoing accounting tasks within our FAO team. You will contribute to monthly close, reconciliations, and financial analysis to support accurate reporting and compliant filings.

You will collaborate across practice areas to improve accounting processes and assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and various tax filings. Travel may be required as part of serving diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, communication, critical thinker, organizational, technical and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field.
• Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
• Preferred: On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining your CPA license

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial close
• Financial account reconciliations
• Financial statement analysis and fluctuation observations and recommendations
• Preparation of balance sheets and income statements
• Preparation of sales/payroll/property tax filings
• Preparation and filing of Forms 1099
• Recognize and provide recommendations for improvements to accounting processes and systems
• Interact with other practice areas within management consulting and other practice areas including but not limited to audit, tax, wealth management and consulting.
