C.R. Daniels, Inc. in Ellicott City, MD seeks an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to lead day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, payroll accounting, tax, and financial analysis.

This on-site role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will manage general ledger activity, collaborate on SAP ERP processes, coordinate audits, and drive improvements in financial reporting,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years progressively responsible accounting and financial experience.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• GAAP knowledge and internal controls experience.
• Experience with ERP-based accounting systems in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating financial audits with external auditors.
• Tax preparation and compliance experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and proper classification of transactions.
• Serve as SAP Finance user to ensure data integrity across modules.
• Identify SAP improvements for accounting, reporting, and cost control.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll journal entries, accruals, and GL entries.
• Oversee payroll accounting, reconciliations, and related controls.
• Coordinate payroll with HR and payroll provider for monthly close.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for various accounts.
• Establish monthly close calendar with entries, accruals, and reporting.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide financial analysis for capital investments and pricing decisions.
• Develop monthly financial reporting package and dashboards.
• Support external audits and tax filings as needed.
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and product costing.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost controls.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve margins and efficiency.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial records.
