Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or controllership experience.
• 2–3 years of hands-on ownership of financial close activities or accounting leadership.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Experience as primary contact for at least one year-end external audit.
• Practical SOX compliance and internal controls experience.
• Experience using an ERP system and a financial consolidation or reporting tool.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA license or MBA in Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses.
• Support consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities or business units.
• Support SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, where applicable.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate SOX compliance testing, documentation, and remediation.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during audits.
• Coordinate audit schedules and deliverables; ensure timely completion.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Coordinate with tax teams on federal/state filings and audits.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare management reports and Board materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency.
