Job summary

TruStage Financial Group, Inc. is offering a Finance & Accounting Intern position based in Madison, WI with a hybrid work arrangement.

The program provides early exposure to the Finance department, including Business Finance, Tax, Accounting Operations, External Reporting, Treasury, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and Market Risk. Applicants should be pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected December 2027 or later graduation date.

This pathway enables young professionals to be considered for potential opportunities at TruStage.

Job Purpose

This role is designed to provide each candidate with hands-on experience so they can acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards of the TruStage Finance department. Candidates will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a classroom environment while gaining new skills in a dynamic professional setting. The Finance department is responsible for functions such as Business Finance, Tax, Accounting Operations, External Reporting, Treasury, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and Market Risk. As an intern, you will be assigned to one or two of these specific departments.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal customers via various communication channels -- providing information, options, and taking the necessary action.
• Conduct research on projects/files that require in-depth study and analysis, and present findings and progress to team members and management.
• Gather/organize data and prepare written reports/projects.
• Assist in the development and testing of finance technologies and automations.
• Investigate finance-related issues.

Preferred Experience

• Working towards a bachelor's degree with major(s) or minor(s) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 3.4 GPA or higher
• Previous relevant intern experience preferred.
• Ability to actively listen and communicate in a professional manner
• Desire to learn and take on new opportunities with enthusiasm
• Organizational and time-management skills

Base Salary Range

$18.00 - $28.00
