Job summary

TruStage is offering a finance internship in Madison, WI. You will work in one or two Finance departments, applying classroom learning to real-world projects while gaining exposure to areas such as Business Finance, Tax, Accounting Operations, External Reporting, Treasury, and Internal Audit.

The role emphasizes data gathering, analysis, and preparation of written reports, with opportunities to develop and test finance technologies and automations while presenting findings to the team.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing undergraduate degree with expected graduation December 2027 or later.
  • GPA 3.4 or higher required; immigration sponsorship not available.
  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Resume required; prior internship preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience in TruStage Finance departments and learn standards.
  • Apply classroom learning in a professional setting across finance areas.
  • Gather, organize data and prepare written reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to developing and testing finance technologies and automations.

Job description

  • Gain hands-on experience with TruStage Finance department methods, procedures, and standards
  • Apply classroom learning while gaining new skills in a professional setting
  • Work in one or two Finance departments, including Business Finance, Tax, Accounting Operations, External Reporting, Treasury, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, or Market Risk
  • Communicate with internal customers through various channels, provide information and options, and take necessary action
  • Conduct research on projects/files requiring in-depth study and analysis
  • Present findings and progress to team members and management
  • Gather and organize data
  • Prepare written reports and projects
  • Assist in developing and testing finance technologies and automations
  • Investigate finance-related issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Students pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later are encouraged to apply
  • Candidates who now or in the future require company sponsorship for an immigration-related employment benefit are not eligible to apply
  • Working towards a relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree with major(s) or minor(s) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 3.4 GPA or higher
  • Previous relevant intern experience preferred
  • Ability to actively listen and communicate in a professional manner
  • Desire to learn and take on new opportunities with enthusiasm
  • Organizational and time-management skills
