Job summary

GPAC is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial management activities, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, cost accounting, inventory, internal controls, and financial analysis.

This role partners with operations to optimize performance, provide actionable insights to senior leadership, and lead a small accounting team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years progressive accounting/financial management experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or inventory preferred.

Position Overview

The Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee the organization's accounting and financial management activities, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, cost accounting, inventory, internal controls, and financial analysis.

This position will play an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information while providing meaningful financial insight to support operational performance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, financial models, and long-range financial plans.
• Analyze financial performance, profitability, cash flow, KPIs, and budget-to-actual variances.
• Provide financial recommendations and insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure accounting and financial reporting practices comply with U.S. GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Partner with operations to understand manufacturing performance, costs, margins, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage cash flow and banking relationships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting personnel.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, systems, and internal controls.
• Support ERP and financial system enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and other areas of the business.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory, or standard costing strongly preferred.
• Experience managing or leading month-end and year-end close processes.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP and accounting/financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both financial and operational teams.
• Prior experience supervising or developing accounting personnel preferred.
• CPA designation is a plus.

Ideal Background

The strongest candidates will come from a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, machinery, or other inventory-intensive environment and will have experience combining accounting fundamentals with operational financial analysis.
