Job summary

Werner Enterprises offers a paid 11-week summer internship that ties classroom learning to real-world logistics. The program includes dedicated job training, mentor sessions, and opportunities to work with our Intermodal carrier base across various Werner departments.

Interns gain hands-on experience with EDGE TMS, Blume, Tableau, and related railroad websites, while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics/Transportation, Management, or Marketing.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

• Daily communication and problem solving with the Intermodal carrier base.
• Tracking and tracing of Intermodal dray shipments.
• Collaboration with Werner departments to resolve issues.
• Assisting with Werner fleet and equipment needs.
• System training including Werner EDGE TMS, Blume, Tableau, Railroad websites, and Skybitz.

Our summer internship program is an excellent opportunity to tie what you have learned in the classroom into real-world experience. The program consists of an 11-week immersion into Werner Enterprises.

Internship Overview

• Paid internship that includes dedicated job training and learning opportunities

• Daily communication and problem solving with our Intermodal carrier base
• Tracking and tracing of Intermodal dray shipments
• Collaboration with various Werner departments to resolve issues

• System training including Werner’s EDGE TMS, Blume, Tableau, Railroad websites, and Skybitz

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Currently attending an accredited college or university at a Junior level in attempts to receive a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics/Transportation, Management, or Marketing.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
