Key Responsibilities
- Integration and test of the Leo satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment
- Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional and environmental testing on units, including basic troubleshooting operations
- Use computer software programs for running tests
- Check and inspect work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
Additional Requirements
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed (1st shift Sun–Wed 6:00 am–4:30 pm)
- Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive assembly operations
- Able to climb and descend ladders, work in tight spaces, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch as required
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
- Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
- 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (calipers, multimeters, torque wrenches)
- 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
- Experience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, team environment
- Experience with FOD, ESD-sensitive hardware, and clean-room requirements
- Experience with electro‑mechanical assembly, final integration, fiber optics/optical and/or harness integration
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities in a high‑paced, challenging work environment
- Experience in the aerospace, automotive, medical device, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment
Export Control Requirement
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay in Washington State: up to $33.50 per hour. Incremental raises are based on tenure.
