Job summary

CMI Group is seeking an Aerospace Final Inspector for its North Phoenix facility. You will perform dimensional inspections on precision aerospace parts, interpret GD&T drawings, and participate in in-process and final checks to ensure quality before shipment.

The role requires reliable, self-starting teamwork in a fast-paced environment and may involve lift requirements up to 20 pounds. Overtime and shift flexibility are possible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection in aerospace.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings for inspection criteria.
• Experience in fast-paced production environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace parts using hand gauges and CMM when required.
• Interpret GD&T symbols and verify conformance to blueprints.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections, document results, and sign off certifications.

Location:

North Phoenix - 2688 E Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85050

Shift Options:

Day shift or Night Shift (20% differential pay)

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Responsibilities

• Dimensional Inspection: Measure precision aerospace parts using manual gages.
• Blueprints & GD&T: Interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric symbols.
• In-Process Audits: Check parts during production to catch defects early.
• Final Inspection: Conduct ultimate quality checks prior to customer shipment.
• Documentation: Record inspection results, fill out logs, and sign off certifications.
• Non-Conformance Routing: Isolate, tag, and document defective parts (NCRs).
• Equipment Care: Verify tool calibration and clean measurement instruments daily.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Aerospace Final Inspector / In-Process Dimensional Inspector experience
• CMM experience desired, but not required
• Experience with dial bore gages, Mueller gages, indicator mics, Sunnen gages etc.
• Must be very knowledgeable of GD&T
• Experience in fast Paced Environment
• Self-starter and team oriented

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and sit or stand up to 8 hours per day
