Job summary

CMI Group is seeking a Final Inspector / In-Process Dimensional Inspector for its North Phoenix facility. The role requires accurate dimensional checks on aerospace parts,GD&T interpretation, and timely documentation of results. Day, night, or weekend shifts are available, with a 40+ hour workweek in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years aerospace final inspector or in-process dimensional inspector experience.
• GD&T expertise is required; CMM experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with dial bore gages, Mueller gages, indicator mics, Sunnen gages, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace parts using manual gages.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols correctly.
• Conduct in-process audits and final inspections prior to shipment.
• Document results, complete logs, and sign off certifications.

Job description

Final Inspector / In-Process Dimensional Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: North Phoenix - 2688 E Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85050

Shift Options: Day shift, Night Shift (20% pay differential), or Weekend Shift (work 36 hours/paid for 40)

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Responsibilities:

• Dimensional Inspection: Measure precision aerospace parts using manual gages.
• Blueprints & GD&T: Interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric symbols.
• In-Process Audits: Check parts during production to catch defects early.
• Final Inspection: Conduct ultimate quality checks prior to customer shipment.
• Documentation: Record inspection results, fill out logs, and sign off certifications.
• Non-Conformance Routing: Isolate, tag, and document defective parts (NCRs).
• Equipment Care: Verify tool calibration and clean measurement instruments daily.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Aerospace Final Inspector / In-Process Dimensional Inspector experience
• CMM experience desired, but not required
• Experience with dial bore gages, Mueller gages, indicator mics, Sunnen gages etc.
• Must be very knowledgeable of GD&T
• Experience in fast Paced Environment
• Self-starter and team oriented

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and sit or stand up to 8 hours per day
