Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a manufacturing associate for 2nd shift on-site operations. You will perform final processing including drilling, sanding, painting, assembling and soldering, following detailed work instructions.

The role requires reading blueprints or specifications, measuring parts, and using hand and power tools. Training for respirator use and PPE is provided where needed. Excellent safety and quality practices are essential.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Drill, sand, and paint parts using hand and power tools.
  • Read and follow manufacturing instructions and specifications.
  • Read measurements and mix ingredients as instructed.
  • Inspect finished goods and perform electrical testing where required.
  • Support preventive maintenance and operate in PPE‑compliant environment.

Position Role Type: Onsite

Security Clearance: None/Not Required

This is for 2nd shift from 3:00pm-11:00pm.

This position is responsible for the final processing of products. This final processing includes a variety of manufacturing processes including drilling, sanding, painting, assembling, and soldering.

What You Will Do:
  • Drill, sand, and paint different parts using hand tools as well as power tools
  • Follow manufacturing instructions and specifications to understand what work is required for particular pieces
  • Ability to read, calculate, measure and mix ingredients, document and follow written work instructions and procedures
  • Clean products using solvents and cloths and empty out personal hazardous waste containers into the appropriate larger hazardous waste receptacle
  • Electrical testing of finished goods
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned

  • General Labor - 5%
  • Paint/Sand - 20%
  • Assembler - 75%
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Have experience reading blueprints, rulers, and specification sheets
  • Have experience drilling, sanding, painting, and soldering
  • Must be willing to be trained to wear a respirator and work with chemicals
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE as required
